The Management and Authority of Mentor Secondary School, the Lira’s top performing education institution has kick started admission of Senior Four students under the old curriculum scheme.
The admission is inline with the recent directive by the Ministry of Education to create the last chance for learners who could have missed, or failed the 2023 Uganda Certificate in Education (UCE).
Grace Angom, the Head Teacher of Mentor SS announced this on Tuesday, February 27th 2024 saying as the best performing School, they are optimistic to deliver excellent education to students coming to sit for UCE under the old curriculum.
“On behalf of the management of Mentor SS (Magdalene campus) with pleasure would like to announce the existence of vacancies in S4 old curriculum class for both boys and girls,” said Angom, the Head Teacher.
She noted that all the girls will reside at school(boarding) while boys will be operating from home (day scholars).

According to her, the school also has some limited vacancies in S.5 for girls only who are offering Arts or Science combinations.
Mentor Secondary School recently got six students scoring Aggregate eight in eight in the 2023 UCE result, while 100 students scored Division one,73 in division two, 7 in division three.
Prof. Celestino Obua, the UNEB Chairperson recently said they would offer one of UCE examinations to cater for learners including adult, students who could have missed or failed 2023 UCE.
