The Uganda National Examination Board, UNEB has confirmed that the 2024 UCE results of 324 students who sat from Light Vocational SS in Lira City were withheld over examination malpractices.
In an exclusive interview with the Nile Times News Journalist, the UNEB Spokesperson, Jenifer Kalule, said the Board detected that the students who sat from Light Vocational SS under Center Number 3036 were involved in examination malpractice.
Accordingly, this led the board to withhold their results pending further hearings.
“Results from that school were withheld. Candidates are suspected to have been involved in exam malpractice. The school has been informed,” said Kalule, the UNEB spokesperson.
She noted that the school will soon be summoned to appear before the UNEB Examinations Security Committee for a fair hearing to defend themselves.
“I’m not sure of the date which they will be summoned since we are still hearing PLE cases,” added Kalule.
Light Vocational SS is owned by the Lira City West Member of Parliament, Vincent Obong Eyit, and it has a large track record for excellent performance.
