On Sunday, April 28th, 2024, Awitong Amb. Ogwang took on day two of the tour, starting with Bala Sub County in Kole district, where he launched the massive tree planting drive and tasked every household to plant both trees for fruits, timber, and beautifying their homesteads.

“As a traditional leader, I’m encouraging every household to plant trees and engage in both subsistence and commercial framing. You should also prioritize the education of our children,” said Amb. Ogwang Okul.

He further rallied the subjects to actively engage in wealth creation through hard work, innovation, and financial discipline while taking advice from government programs in a bid to create wealth and eradicate poverty at both individual and household levels for a better community of Lango People.
The ongoing tour is meant to ensure discipline, hard work, and wealth creation among his subjects and the people of Lango, wherever they may be.
“The future is bright; you will create wealth for your families. As a family, we are donating Ugx5 million shillings to support your SACCO. I will always ensure close supervision to ensure success,” said Amb. Ogwang Okul.
Awitong Ogwang-Okul, who is also the Head of Chancery, Uganda Embassy in Sudan, is a reputable senior diplomat who has been at the helm of mobilizing people in Lango to engage in massive production and peacebuilding for several years.
