Just hardly a fortnight after delivering a whopping Shs10 million to support churches in Ogur Sub County, Lira District Woman MP (NRM) has launched phase II of her financial support to churches in Amach and Itek Sub Counties, Erute South County.
In this second phase, MP Auma Linda has fulfilled financial pledges that she had made to five churches worth Shs4 million.
On Sunday September 22nd 2024, MP Auma’s political assistant, Jacob Ocen, traversed Amach and Itek Sub counties to deliver the Shs4Million to churches including St. Andrew C.O.U., Gomi that received Shs500,000, and St. Daniel Comboni Abolet, which got Shs1.2million.
Others are; St. Kizito Ewop Catholic Church, which received Shs700,000, Abangamio Elim Church, which got 300,000/=, and Amach Archdeaconry, which got 500,000, and others.
In her message delivered by Ocen, MP Auma urged residents to embrace all the government programs as the only means to enhance household wealth.
She urged parents to also prioritize girl child education and cautioned them against politically being manipulated by those she termed opportunists who wish to reap from where they never sown.
Ocen applauded residents for politically supporting MP Auma and urged them to continue supporting her and president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2026.
“MP Auma has fulfilled her promise, and now it’s your turn to fulfill yours in 2026 by giving her your votes. She is a person who should stay in parliament for many years,” said Ocen.
Last week, MP Auma fulfilled her pledges of more than Sh10 million to various churches in Ogur Sub County.
