A secret plot by the Health Minister, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ochero, to boost quality education within secondary schools in Lira City has leaked.
Dr. Aceng, who is also the Lira City Woman MP, recently lobbied for hundreds of text books from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology to be sent to all 27 public and private secondary schools in Lira City.
The text books meant to support the new curriculum were handed over to the benefiting schools by Minister Dr. Aceng on Saturday, February 24th, during a ceremony held at the Mayor’s Garden in Lira City.
Dr. Aceng said she was concerned about how schools in her constituency had been missing text books from the Ministry in recent years.
“I got disappointed because last year, none of the secondary schools in Lira City received text books. When my office was informed, I immediately contacted RCC Lawrence Egole to mobilize the head teachers to write to the Commissioner of Instructional Materials at the Ministry through my office. This is how I managed to engage the authority and secure these text books,” said Dr. Aceng.
“I saw that there was an urgent need to pick up these text books for the 27 schools so that we could end the story of the scarcity of text books in the schools,” added Dr. Aceng.
She pledged to continue following up to ensure that education and performance Lira City improves.
Dr. Aceng advised the head teachers to always request learning materials from the Ministry and inform her office.
“As the Woman MP of Lira City, I pledge that I shall be transporting these text books whenever they come and ensuring that they’re delivered to the various secondary schools in Lira City,” she noted.
Lango College, Lira SS, Lira Town College, Bright Light College, and 23 others were among the beneficiaries that received the text books.

I think every concept you put up in your post is strong and will undoubtedly be implemented. Still, the posts are too brief for inexperienced readers. Would you kindly extend them a little bit from now on? I appreciate the post.
