Police in Apac District have arrested a total of five suspects accused of theft during an impromptu operation conducted in the sub-county of Chegere.
The five people were harvested on Tuesday in an operation sanctioned by the District Security Team headed by RDC George Abdul following increasing criminal cases within the area.
RDC Abdul confirmed the arrest, saying security will continue conducting similar operations.
“We arrested five people in Chegere, and we found them with number plates that we suspect could be for stolen motorcycles,” said Abdul
He cautioned residents to remain vigilant and always report to security any suspected criminal in their area.
Recently, business operators within the district complained to the district security team about increasing insecurity within the area. This was during a recent meeting.
