“I’m ready to meet my brother, Mr. Robert Kyagulanyi, anytime. Some of our people are demanding a meeting,” Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Special Presidential Advisor in charge of Special Operations, tweeted on Friday morning.
Gen. Muhoozi, who returned from a fact-finding mission in the East Acholi region (Kitgum and Agago districts) regarding the escalated cattle rustling by the Karamojong warriors, said some of his supporters are demanding that he talk with Bobi Wine, the opposition NUP leader.
This is the second time Gen. Kainerugaba has announced his readiness to hold talks with Kyagulanyi.
Gen. Kainerugaba has also announced his interest to contest for the presidency in 2026 under the famous MK Movement.
He claimed that a section of the ruling NRM leaders had previously cautioned him against talking about the welfare of the people.
“Some people in the NRM were telling us to only speak about sports and entertainment. Can you believe that? Is sports and entertainment the most pressing issue for our people? We rejected that position. We will always talk about our people’s real conditions, including unemployment and corruption, which he pledged to deal with decisively once he is elected the President of Uganda,” Gen. Muhoozi tweeted.

“Let us remind ALL our enemies that we will STAND in 2026, and with Almighty God’s help, we will win that election! MK Movement forever!” He announced it a few days ago.
