Intelligence Dossier on Minister Anite’s Gross Corruption at UIA Shocks Museveni

Date:

The State Minister for Investments Evelyne Anite’s ancestors must be rolling in their grave against her.

The latest is that the youthful Minister Anite’s trouble stemming from the gross corruption allegation by the legislators has taken a new twist.

Recently, Minister Anite was booed at by the MPs during a plenary session after she attempted to talk about corruption in the Investment Authority.

MPs have described her as the authentic meaning of corruption in Uganda, who should be lavishing in Luzira Prison.

MPs, including Kalungu West legislator Joseph Gonzaga Ssewungu, led the charge, claiming that the Minister “is the most corrupt government official who must be now languishing in jail.”

Anite’s attempt to claim how she had previously exposed the alleged corruption and the corrupt at the Uganda Investments Authority (UIA) failed and was viewed as an attempt to bully those who had revealed her corrupt deals.

MPs believe that Minister Anite should have by now been languishing in because of her scandalous behavior and lack of morals to speak about corruption.

The legislators cited the recent encounters between the British High Commissioner to Uganda, Kate Airey OBE, and Minister Anite.

Kate Airey wrote a protest note to the Minister of Foreign Affairs refuting in strongest terms the claims that had been made by Minister Anite to the UIA Board of Directors in the meeting she personally chaired on 12th June 2024.

Sources revealed that Minister Anite’s outburst against the British High Commissioner to Uganda was deliberately to fabricate the story about it because she wanted to create a false narrative to hoodwink and intimidate the UIA Board members and its management.

It’s also confirmed that Anite bullied Kaite with intent to take full control of the Kampala Industrial and Business Park Development project being funded by Britain’s Export Credit Agency, United Kingdom Export Finance (UKEF).

A detail report submitted to President Museveni by Uganda’s domestic Counter-Intelligence firm revealed Minister Anite’s appetite to interfere in the Namanve project was triggered by the fact that there is an urgent need to buy a piece of land for the establishment of a waste water treatment facility as well as the establishment of a small medium enterprise (SME) park for the project.

According to the contract terms, it’s the Ugandan government that is supposed to provide the land for the project.

UIA management had identified a suitable land enough to accommodate the two purposes, whose value was Shs9 billion as per the government valuer.

“When the negotiations to acquire that land were underway, Anite called for a meeting in her office on the 27th of February 2024 and, without any scientific evidence, rejected the proposal to acquire the piece of land the UIA management had selected on grounds that it was bound to cause environmental pollution since it was near people’s communities. She instead directed that they replace it with another piece of land, which her close associates had identified at the cost of Shs40 billion,” the report reads in part.

The Director General of UIA, Robert Mukiza, flatly rejected the proposal from the Minister, insisting that, as an accounting officer, he will not drive the country into that obvious financial loss of 31b. At this point, Minister Anite started ranting like an angry mad dog against the top UIA management.

With the pressure mounting and the embarrassment of being caught red-handed and exposing her, Anite abandoned her social media for good weeks and only returned to writing about love and family.

She flew to Canada for a long holiday as she waited for the storm generated by her fabricated stories of meeting the UK Ambassador to calm down.

Sources say that MPs were very shocked to see a scandalous person like Minister Anite who impersonated, lied, and fabricated stories to achieve her selfish agenda looking for public sympathy in the name of fighting corruption on the floor of parliament, hence the heckling and booing.

It should also be remembered that once someone labelled Hon. Minister Anite as corrupt on X previously on Twitter, she reminded them that her name ends with “E “andA” (AAnite not Anita), meaning that corruption is synonymous with the latter rather than the former.
