The Lira district Senior Land Management Officer, Joseph Ocen Alwong has been sent on remand after being charged with Fraudulent Procurement of a Certificate of title and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
Its alleged that Ocen and others still at large between the month of February 2019 and October 2020 at Lira land offices, in Lira District Conspired and fraudulently procured the registration on a freehold certificate of title on government land at plot 19 Ben Emor road Ireda Estate into the names of his daughter Akite Winnifred Elizabeth.
He has been remanded till 11/01/2024 when he will reappear in court in Lira district.
