The police authority has identified the police personnel who shot dead the Indian City money lender at Rajja Chambers in Central Division in Kampala on Friday.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, has identified the assailant as No. 67029 PC Wabwire Ivan and the deceased as UTTAM BHANDARI, an Indian by nationality and the Director of TFS Financial Services at Yako Bank, located on Raja Chambers along Parliamentary Avenue in the city center of Kampala.
Onyango said the irate police personnel had reportedly obtained an undisclosed amount of loan from TFS Financial Services in 2020 and had failed to repay the loan.
“The suspect had come to the victim to get a quotation to take to an unidentified bank so that the bank would buy the loan as alleged. After the shooting, he jumped on a boda and rushed to CPS KLA, where he abandoned the killer gun.” Onyango said.
He adds that efforts are being made to have the suspect arrested for further inquiries.
We condemn the act of using guns to solve problems; instead, security personnel should use peaceful means to manage conflict, Onyango said.

This is the country we are now living in let .
Why is there much killing people through shooting with guns i think government should do something to find outhow those people getting guns it’s too much please
Shooting is not a solution to our challenges but rather magnifies it to a very hard situation that can’t be accomplished easily.
So, let’s jointly boycott such a bad attitude of killing people like a hen.
Remember, that’s a very big crime and sin before God.
MHSRIP.
Those civil servant loaners sometimes can even stress a lot, you will sign a loan for 12 month but they will even goes beyond the duration signed for.
A lot of civil servants are going through this and I wish the government should first address that issue and the most affected people are the teachers only that they don’t have guns, they were going to be killing.
