President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is scheduled to resume his wealth creation and investment campaign.
According to confirmed schedules, President Museveni will pitch camp in the West Nile sub-region starting from April 11th to April 13th, 2023.
His first activity shall be held in Arua City, where he is expected to hold talks with the regional leaders on the promotion of commercial farming and investments, among others.
“The tour will focus on the theme of “securing your future through wealth creation and shared prosperity,” State House announced.
Recently Maj. (Rtd.) Jessica Alupo, the Vice President, urged West Nile leaders to turn up in bug number to attend the presidential engagements on wealth creation.
Currently, several top government officials, including ministers, are combing the West Nile subregion to drum up support ahead of the president’s meeting.
In late February, President Museveni camped in the Acholi sub-region for days, mobilising local leaders on wealth creation and investments.
While in the Acholi sub-region, President Museveni was informed by the leaders how civil servants had been mismanaging funds meant for the implementation of Parish Development Model activities.
He later ordered for immediate investigations by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, a move that has since caused the arrest of some officers within the region.
